Fly FM’s ultimate guide to Varsity 2017


Varsity is only three days away and Fly FM will be providing live coverage of eight events including the big three of Ice Hockey, Basketball and Football. Fly FM will also bring you a special social media coverage of the Super Wednesday at Clifton.

It all kicks off at 3 pm this Saturday (25 March) when the FlyFM crew will head down to the Nottingham Rugby Club where we will be bringing you the first big battle of Varsity 2017.

After a great season for the men’s Nottingham Trent Futsal team, on Monday, March 27 they will take on their arch-rivals in the second Varsity fixture to be covered by FlyFM. The women’s Futsal Varsity fixture will also be broadcast live at the David Ross Sports Village.

To wrap up the first week of Varsity 2017, FlyFM will be bringing you live coverage from the first of the so-called big three when we head to the Motorpoint Arena on the 30 March to cover the extremely tasty affair of the Ice Hockey. This is always one of the most anticipated events of the year for both Nottingham Trent and University of Nottingham students.

After a five-week break, FlyFMs Varsity coverage is back with a bang when we head back to the Motorpoint arena to cover hotly contested clashes of the men’s and women’s Basketball on the 9 May. Coverage starts at 4 pm and will be one not to be missed.

To conclude our coverage of the big three, On the 11 May the FlyFM team will head down to Notts County’s ground, Meadow Lane to bring you all the action from the men’s and women’s Varsity Football. One of the last remaining fixtures and is always an incredible atmosphere, Varsity Football could be the big decider in the series.

FlyFM will also be providing coverage from the Cricket on the 12th May, American Football on the 13 May and Rugby Union on the 14th May. Super Wednesday on the 29 March, FlyFM will be making the trip down to Clifton to bring social media coverage of all the Varsity events.

Varsity 2017 is going to be a great occasion for both Nottingham Trent and the University of Nottingham and you can tune into all the action and revel in the atmosphere on FlyFM.
