Fly FM is 21 years old – and here’s how we’re celebrating

It’s official! Fly FM has been broadcasting new music for NTU for 21 years – and we’re celebrating all week long.

The station started in 1996, when it was called ‘Kick FM’ – it was launched by the president of NTSU at the time. Decades later, a name change and many rebrands have taken place, but we still have the same ethos and spirit – being the voice of students at Nottingham Trent, and playing the best new music out there.

To commemorate the occasion, all week from the 27th November we’re broadcasting the Alumni Takeover.Β Yes, previous presenters from Fly who are now successful in the industry are taking over our airwaves once again!

We’ve also got a very special ’90’s Baby’ playlist – taking you back in time, playing loads of bangers from the year of ’96.
